Don't be a broken record“Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results” – Albert Einstein

Don’t be a broken record – what steps can you take to help you get back into the groove?

1. Firstly, review your recent results. What is working really well for you in your business? No need to make changes here – just keep on doing what you’re doing!

2. What is not working so well? It may be certain income streams or services that are not profitable. Be ruthlessly honest with yourself. Now is the time to be brave and stop wasting any more energy on these.

3. Are there some services that need a tweak here or there to make them more profitable? These changes may be fairly easy to implement.

4. Is there a need to offer new services? If so, what will they be? Are you qualified to offer them? How long will it take to get the new service to market? What research do you need to undertake? Build any training requirements into your forecast. Don’t underestimate the time this will take and the costs involved.

5. Look to other industries for inspiration. This may spark some ideas that can work in your own business.

6. Have a brainstorming session for ideas. Get the team involved. Come up with as many ideas as you can, as quickly as you can. Write down each and every idea. No limitations – you will evaluate the ideas later.

7. Trigger your creativity – music, a walk outside in the fresh air, a different location – these may all help to inspire you.

Don’t delay – Use this year to bring about some positive change to you and your business.
